This is right up my alley. A protest that involves cafes and coffee.
    Who's in?

Good social protest, take a whole carpark space, go have a nice breakfast and a catch up. So, who is keen? We can coordinate where we park up and go have a BFTP social breakfast somewhere nice. Get into town early, score the premium parking and catch up with the brave boys who made it to Welly, and maybe buy them a coffee for their legendary efforts against the man.

Yeah, and it is just the Auckland thing to do, very little effort- ie; park up and have breakfast and a coffee- protesting complete, and go home.
This could be the least amount of oil Gina will spew on a ride

Plus I may even convince 'er indoors to come along on the pretence of taking her out to a lovely meal, and hopefully she will pay for it

All the best for your trip cmoore, primo place to go too! Are you going to the island?

what i took from that thread is that that guy maha may have an issue with EARLY MORNING STARTS, lol, so i'm not alone in that

but a very good idea indeed. not sure if there is enough time though to pull people together to make a noticeable presence??
would need at least 50 bikes to take the main carpark area...

I know where you live Mr Sleepy... You don't want a wake up call do you? Horses heads are not that easy to get hold of this time of the year, well not fresh ones anyway.
8.30 is not too bad is it? You can do it! Best thing about it is we can get a couple of short blacks into you pretty much straight away
Let's call it BFTP Social Breakfast and Run, the bikes will do the protesting for us. The run can be decided over a hearty (or lettucey) breakfast if the weather plays ball on the day.

Not just the coffee, the food's really good too, they have a good amount of immigrants from all over the world, food selection is mind boggling. Went there plenty of times for work, so did not get to do much other than stuff my face on the company credit card

Dodgyiti, I know a guy who knows a guy who works in a place where horses heads arrive daily, getting "one" should'nt be a problem, was there anyone else needing a wakeup call!???
There are two bikes going from this household.
I'm ringing more people tomorrow, come on folks a big BFTP Presence would be appreicaied , remember Mom is one of ours and any protest is good business right now.

Adelaide is similar. Probably not quite as crammed full of restaurants but they also had dozens of Street parties each year, where a block or two of streets were closed off to cars. People from the neighborhood and local businesses, pubs etc organised a variety of bands/musicians/entertainers, Merchandise and an amazing array of international food stalls. Great way to spend a day and night..... PARRRRRRRTAY
