Ok, so it'a a quad, but BFTP eligable http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...x?id=264793110 Dude says it loses power after 5 mins... What do our esteemed members think, besides total rebuild? My hunch is either fuel blockage (in an ideal = fix it in 5 mins world) or top end and rings rebuild. Anyone had any experience with these things? What are parts prices like for Hondas? I never had to do any work on my last Honda err because it was a Honda and didn't need anything except soul... I need a 4wd to get through the bush tracks around the new place, my tractor will not make it to the back part of the property as the tracks are too narrow and steep. Tractor is all sweet now, apart from the tie rods which I safety wired while parts are arranged.
leaks oil after a few minutes....lose of power after a few minutes......umm....cracked head? pistons fucked, rings knackered.....
I think the fuel caps have a On And Off position on them that blocks off the fuel cap vent, could be blocked or in the wring position. Or it could just be Phaaarked , after all it is a honda lol
Probably partial fuel starvation. As Jace and Dodgy have suggested, you'd need to remove the filler cap and see how it runs. If the problem persists, it could be poor flow through the fuel cock or a blocked inline filter.
