    Lets get rid of them then. I nominate the following for the hatchet;

    avgas
Bill Alexander (My intro, am confident that he doesn't even lurk)
cbx1956 (My intro, am confident that he doesn't even lurk)
    chevman,
    Chooky
    DanTheMan,
    Katman
    Macontour
    madbikeboy,
    Margua
    Markpat
    Nagash
    Onefast TL1000
    Pirate Jaffa
    ratfink
Slowbionekanowbi (my sock. He is unstable and may attack members)

I think most have been members for 6 months or so with no posts. Or even older with no posts in the last 12 months or so.

Nominate more for removal from the group or removal from this list. (I'll edit the list as we go).

After a couple of weeks to finalise the list, we can pm them all and advise that they are to be removed within 7 days as they aren't active members. How does that sound?

I'm a firm believer of if you join a club, group, whatever, you contribute, so yeah, I'm with ya.

Nothing to see here folks, move along . . . .

Perhaps we could introduce a little diplomacy and tact into the process. There may be genuine reasons why some haven't contributed yet (broken complicator, broken bike, broken fingers, extremely short-sighted etc), and I'd be unhappy to see folk removed who actually have a genuine interest in what we're doing here.

Unless we're paying for space to store the non-active profiles, I don't see any harm. As I understand it, the profiles shown when we log on give a clue to other members who have logged on recently, and I'm not aware of any attempts at snooping or privacy invasion.

(Definition of Diplomacy: the art of telling someone to go to hell in such a way that they look forward to the trip . . . . )

As I said "we can pm them all and advise that they are to be removed within 7 days as they are non contributing wasters." We can use email as well.

The idea of notifying them is to give them the opportunity to respond asking to be kept on.

If they hardly ever come here it shouldn't be a problem for them if they get the boot.

As for the suggestion that we can see who's on line at any given time..... It really doesn't make any difference as our posts are on line all the time. It's no good if the HB lads are not posting ride plans etc because they don't want onefastTL1000 (or whatever his name is) to see their plans when the guy doesn't make any contribution to BFTP but is free to see what they are up to.

If you check the profiles you will see that many of the members listed above are heavy posters in the main forum. They just don't appear to be interested in banter about old bikes with old bike lovers. Why the fuck did they even join?

if you look at some of those that post heavy elsewhere a high percentage of the posts are just posts to get they post count up two locally are renown for it. and as our discussion dont count towards post count they dont bother to comment.

Its not the BFTP rides were not posting here coz of TLboy, Its in the Hawkes Bay weekend rides thread that USED to be a busy thread with a good bunch posting and having fun on,
