for those of you who may not be aware of this, following a few succesfull group bftp rides in auckland in 2008 that caseye was a part of from the very first one, caseye initiated these social pages to promote the social side of things and has been maintaining them ever since. caseye also used every oportunity to encourage early members to come forward more both on the forums and on our rides.

while first posts by members were quite shy and not frequent and it was enough to log in once a week to catch up with a few new lines, this quickly changed as more peole showed interest in bftp. as you realize, today this is a very active forum.
more members (even when inactive) means more comitment to keep things accurate and up to date.
bftp has seriously started going out of the small circle of people who all know each other to members joining in from distance and getting to know the group foremost through this social club (and the pics here) and only then (and only maybe) through riding together. this is especially the case with members who may live in an area distant from all other members or for those who have project bikes that are not runners.

caseye has been having quite a few commitments lately and through discussion i came to realize that maintaining these pages started to require too much of his time. knowing caseye, had i not specifically asked if he wanted help with the admin of these pages he would have just continued doing his best without complaining about it.

he has today transfered the bftp social group pages admin to me.

i'd like to acknowledge caseye for his very practical support in maintaining these pages to date, for being a keen social person often bringing good humour and for being prepared to ride no matter the weather conditions or time of the year.

i'll leave it to caseye if he wants to clarify or add anything but i know he is determined to keep riding and socialising with us whenever he can.

    long live the coal burner!

Cheers Caseye! Your starting this online side of the social club was a brilliant idea and you have been a blessing to us all. It is greatly appreciated.

Don't forget to sign up to the Paeroa, BFTP partner, 100 mile and Dargaville rides eh. We'll try to arrange rain for at least one of them so you will be in your element.

Cheers Caseye, and good meeting you at Colditz.

    Good on ya too Psyguy.

I like this little niche forum, all here with a common interest. I have found that it has rekindled my interest in older bikes.
I find I can't be bothered posting in the main KB forum due to the bleating, attacking, knowalls, and tossers that frequent it.
And thats just the HB threads!

Hey Caseye, thanks for organising this forum and maintaining it since it's inception. It must be an awesome task trying to keep on top of it. I am particularly impressed that the forum has not degenerated to the level that some of the main site ones have. And as Dooly has mentioned about the HB forum, I haven't bothered to post on it for the very same reasons he has mentioned.

    Good stuff Psy.

Prolly mostly cause old bike riders aren't the tossers that new bike riders tend to be.

A nice simple natural selection process.

Thanks Mark, BFTP has given me the opportunity to come out of my garage...
I think that is something that BFTP has helped most (if not all) of us with to various degrees
