Hi guys. Firstly, to those I PM about the date change, forget, its back to the same date, 23/24/25 April. A few changes, mainly in accommodation. Due to the inclemant weather and the risk of rain ruining our weekend for those tenting, we have available an outdoor camp facility 800 metres from my property. Its Stoney Creek Ranch, Maraekakaho. It has a website, but its old and outdated. Anyway, it has full facilities, including kitchen. We have 50 beds available to us in 4 chalet type rooms. In each chalet there are toilets, basins, and showers, plus one has a big fridge. So no tents will be required. You need to bring pillows & bedding. I've just been there and had a good look, its a bunk setup, 12 to a room. We have 4 chalets so if we dont get 50, we can spread out more. The kitchen is available to do your own thing as long as you tidy up. So we're envisiging the campers using the facilties for brekky, sleeping, showers etc, and we'll hold the parties and evening meals, BBQs at my place up the road where there are no issues with noise and camp leaders. We have some vans where we can transport those who dont want to walk. The camp owners dont want payment as Tina & I are locals, but I think thats not on, so we've decided on a donation, which I'm thinking 20 bucks a night each is fair?? To be paid to me over the weekend. Did I mention its a Christian camp.........oops, nope. Ok, no probs there but it is an ALCOHOL FREE zone, their only rule. So they really dont want any drinking on the property, which really should'nt be an issue as we'll be out during the day and we can hit the piss at my place anyway, PLUS, theres the local biker friendly country bar & grill, 'The Chook & Filly', just down the road. I think its a great gesture being offered the camp and therefore offering us the security of a dry place to stay if the weather turns nasty, and the owners are great people. So you can turn up on Friday and leave for home Monday if you wish, they're pretty cruisy. Also importantly, can you all start confirming your, and (partners) attendance so we get a definate feel for numbers. We'll post up more logistics, or plans as we count down to the day but it will basically be the usual, ride, sink yeast, fall over etc, nothing too serious. Can someone change the original link and story over to this one please. Cheers Tony
All good with me Dooly, have weekend off, if any of our vistors what a escort for last few km I'm able to ride out and met them. we wouldn't what any to get geographicilly embrassed!
Great plan Tony, Makes for less gear to take as well. Hows the CB? I'm finding bikes for Robertydog. Yamahas of course Tate will be able to change the calender listing, she started it so is able to edit it
sounds like the plan...........may i suggest we have all the snorers in one chalet................ie.........the one i aint in...............
snorer..that'd be me. WOrld champion I is. If I can make it Im up for an escort, I have a stunning ability to get lost. Its not that Im not pointing the right way, its the fine details that escape me, like which road to turn down!
Rattisnorer..that'd be me. WOrld champion I is. ahhh some competition! ask Fridayflash,Tate35 and Deisel I dont snore........ Much
Come up with me Ratti. I have a GPS and can't get lost even when I try.
I could head south and meet you two, three or more somewere....................... if you dont mind the smell of a lovely 2 stroke
How can anyone object to the sound and smell on a two smoke?
er...can you ride at the back? lol . or waaaaaaaaaaaaaay up front
or waaaaaaaaaaaaaay up front Thats were i usauly am, them 2 strokes yam's are really fast
that's true....guess you wont be needing the GPS then?
guess you wont be needing the GPS then? Depends how far south I ride lol
The cabins/chalets are'nt 5 star but they're reasonably roomy, as they generally cater for school groups. The first cabin, number 1 has a seperate room with a double mattress, so if anyone wants that, get in first. It will be a sort out your beds when you arrive thingy, theres 4 cabins next to each other for us, and I think no one else is there for the weekend except for a day group on Friday. I'll park one of my bikes at the camp gate so no misses it. Jase, still waiting on the painting to be done on the CB9, hopefully next week then MSTRS is going to do the decals and hopefully go on the Classic Club ride next week. CB's all ready to go. Think I might sell the GPZ, just can't get into it, plus gonna buy the stroker it seems so........... Mind you, I'm as changable as the weather. Are you getting a bike for Grant to?
Grant can use the RZ, just need to do abit of work on it, Its the same model and colour as the one he bought new. I think there are pics of his bike on his profile, Dial up takes to long to look So your looking at getting a stroker? What sort. RG500 would be fun in a race replica sort of way.
