What would a 1982 RD350H be worth? and how would it be for a 50km round trip commute?
The only road bluesmoke I have owned was a Honda MB5, so I have no frame of reference
I just found this one in a shed..............

32xxx on the clock, everything there, Not sure about the rego though, The newest tag I can see is from 2004.

    Buy it !

Looks in good nick, very original, wish my old one looked as good as that, It did in 1993, much thrashing, crashing and drag racing been done since then

There are a reliable bike, be great for a 50km commute, the pipes will get nice and hot by then and not get chocked up. New 2 stroke oils are pretty clean anyway

You would want to clean out the 2 stroke tank and change gearbox oil (use ATF) Brake fliud (and unsieze the caliper and lube the slider pins) Fork seal are $60 each genuine but i can get some that fit for $25 a pair( slightly wider but fit good) Anti freeze, etc

All the usual stiff you need to do on a bike that has been sitting

Replace the water pump seal and bearing too, They are dear genuine but for about $80 you can get a complete seal kit, with crank seals, sprocket, gear change, kick start. All that isnt there is the clutch pushrod as the kits are for RZ/Banshee that has a differtent clutch actuator setup

Buy It ! Or had I already mentioned that

And check the tank for rust in the low spot by the front of the side cover, its lower than the fuel tap and water gets in there

I know a real easy tip to get 6 Rwhp more ! Wheel stands a plenty

Very perceptive James, I got that feeling too. As soon as Jase mentioned 6 R/W HP I knew he was gone... eyes glazed with oil residue...
    Poor bugger
