Well people, the unfuckenbelievable may be happening. The ones that know of my hassles since my hubby died? I was in court yesterday ( again ) and we have managed to reach an agreement in principle to a settlement. Can't fucken believe it. She accepted the first offer I made. Dodgy you'da been proud of me dude! Was so low it was offensive. Had to insist my lawyer made it cos he thought it wouldnt be a go. But she did. Its not been signed yet, but its going to be hard for her to back out. She has accepted over 130thousand less than she had indicated she wanted to. If it goes off I will have ALL my babies, the house and all assets in MY name with them having no claim apart from what I owe them. The deal was 20 grand now and 40 in ten years. Sounds a heck of a lot I know but they wanted 300grand originaly. How fucken cool is that? The best bit is that it should be signed in 2 weeks and the judge sign it off on 31 may...the monday before Queens birthday weekend. Now, Ratti proposes to have a party Queens birthday weekend to celebrate. I have tent space, floor space, off road parking for about 30 bikes and maybe enough toilets to go around.(as in The Worlds Fastest Indian, I have a lemon tree for the chaps to piss on ) Im not counting chickens before they hatch, but as I said, it will be hard for her to back out ( read 'expensive' ) Should it all happen as planned, anyone able to swing by and watch biker flicks, drink to much, dance and crashout on floors/couch/tents? Im almost too scared to really acknowledge its happening, has been so long now. anyway, something to think about.
Congrats. That will give me incentive to get GS on road. Be good to meet up with you (if I haven't dropped around with a seat before then!) and some of the other crew. Missed rally due to prior commitment at VMX meeting so would be good to catch up with a few of the gang.
Awesome news Faith ! Thats a huge weight of your shoulders ;-) Im in for a party, We work get the Z's running while we are drinking ! Big BFTP ride in the morning after lol? maybe not , coffee and nurafen
Yorky, the crowd that turned up for the HB rally are an awesome bunch of folk. You'd really like them. Not a tosser among the lot. like bloody hell you will Jase. I will be able to afford to have the engine professionally rebuilt. Course the rest of the bike may still be a rat, but the engine will be good for another 20 years. Coffee and nurofen optional. No, thats not true, its compulsory! Actually I have a large supply of anti nausea drugs that Andrew got while he was on chemo. Makes an effective hangover cure. ahem... dont laugh but I needed 2 of them the sunday of the HB rally. Cripes, I really tied one on! Doolys fault.
