Pulled one of these out of the back of the ute, proudly showed Ms Dodgy "Lookie what I got"
"Oh, a new toilet cistern" she says...
They look great on the Ambo, dummied them up. Have to make some brackets later and fit them. Can't beat hard luggage and this BMW Cistern3 stuff is the best. They are older ones so no duel flush but they hold a fair bit.

And of course the BMW badges on the panniers have now added an extra coupla grand of value to the Ambo . . .

I have been searching and searching for some box's for it ever since it was destined to replace the R100 as the daily runner. Once you have had hard luggage there is no going back. These sort of suit the period. A close second were the cop ones my parts guy has but they are smaller and fatter, these ones don't stick out past the front engine bars so they have a lesser chance of embedding themselves into cars when I lane split. And leave the pillion grab bars available for tying stuff down over the seat. I will continue the same pinstrip on the sidecovers along the bags when it is time for repainting but in the meantime they will stay like that.
The more I look at the back, the more I wanna put fishtails on her. I guess it will be later down the track because these mufflers incoperate a balance pipe within the front of the expansion tube so any changes back there will not be bolt on. And for the first time in my life..some slightly higher bars.....

There is avaliable lenght in the cables for another inch or inch 1/2 of height and in doing so the route for the throttle will be a nicer curve. It has big arse cowhorns already, may as well go for gold

The poor old thing will have to survive the winter first, a bit of grease on the bits with no paint and let her stew in her own gently oozing protective juices.

I will post some pics of the generator belt adjustment procedure at some stage, it was neat fun.
Loving the old technology on it like a 60's pommy car.

Well I was hoping grocery shopping... the bike has twin toolboxs as factory, enough to carry all the tools, spares including a tube that I think
    I will need.
This Monica sounds nice D-pole... at least she will respect the panniers and not call them toilet cisterns.

You want to borrow my red vivid marker to draw lines so the cisterns match the rest of the bike?

Ducky's top box would add a tasteful finish to the ensemble.

I need to fit my panniers one day - I thought I would have them on in a couple of weeks. But they have to fit with 2 seat units. While I'm off work,I will get my oxy bottle tested and convert it to Argosheild, then minor problems like making brackets won't be the stumbling block they are now.But then what about my gas plant?
