hey folks it's soon that time of the year again (june) any suggestions on where to go / what to do? bruno is road ready and keen and i promise not to take it appart before the ride (i'm anyway more prone doing that in the summer season ha ha) and of course, "the weather will be fine", lol

What is the actual anniversary date Psy? We should aim to be as close as possible to that. From now on the weather could do anything!
yeah wickle, it would be cool to catch up with HB crew, that always brings bftp numbers up by 400%! the first kb listed group ride was on the 26 june 2008. but i think the history shows that between short notice ride on a fine day and a long-planned for ride on a wet cold day the former always wins in terms of attendance so it might be a good idea to start off with a provisional date in june and then push the ride back if the weather looks too nasty for that given w'end?? though last winter we had months of nasty weather weekends in a row. hopefully better luck this year.
those early rides featured caseye......sometimes he was the only one to turn up...and then he went for the ride.....and took photos......my fav is the bucketing down ride....with pictures of his bike all alone on the BFTP group ride outing......that man deserves a sticket!!
IMHO you should plan for Sun 27th June Psy. If the weather is crappy it could always be postphoned, but anniversaries are important, and always a good excuse to put a day aside for a ride!!
Cmoore's/Wickle's idea for the" Meet Half Way" Rotorua ride sounds good http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/gr...cussionid=1508
I think this is from the first one: This is the second one:
Blimey. There are some really dodgy (sorry) looking desperados in those shots. I bet women and children screamed and ran when that lot turned up.
The second ride (an nearly all the others after) was a wet one, and cold. Note Mr Arkwright and Granville rubbing their hands together...
What/whos is the bike 5th from right in 1st pic? White with red/blue stripes
ha ha, true, most rides have been wet, lol, maybe because it started that way?? this is from the first ride:
and yes caseye and the coal burner made more wet rides than anyone else! by far... ha ha. that's a classic pic up there cmoore
RDjase - Today 17:00 What/whos is the bike 5th from right in 1st pic? White with red/blue stripes it's an xj900, belongs to "alive" guy here on kb. bugger scored it a few years ago with true under 10k kms on it for a bargain. a true shed find.
I've spoken with Alive a few times lately, me is alive(cuse pun) and well and intends to get back with us asap. he still has that beautiful bike and rides her as often as he gets the chance. Been a while since those rides cmoore, but they were alot of fun. 27th June is the BRONZ Protest ride/meet in Auckland. they're hoping to get 500 plus bikes together for a rally on that day.
