Hey guys im lookin for a few parts for my 82 XS400R. I brought a burnt out bike off a fella on tardme. haha and now i buildin a bobber out of it. Im after pretty much every thing and anything for the XS400R and the XS400 (as i got one of those too, rusted aza buggery tho. 1973) So yea any parts for these bikes would be awesome!!!! But anything that i could make fit would be great. Cheers
Put all your efforts into the '73 frame and engine cases so you can put that on the road- only 2 1/2 years for vintage rego and insurance

Yea i would put my effort in the old fella but it needs alot more work and a new frame than the 82. So that the next project once ive got this going.
Have you got any pics? I had XS250 when I was 16, heavy as a 400 and slow but looked cool in its time............Bought a XS2 chopper after that, There is one pic of it somewere, must find it and scan/post it. It was purple, I painted it mid chrome yellow tinter (I think thats what it was, I told the paint bloke I wanted it bright and loud) Extended forks , coffin tank, straight pipes, completely dangerous to ride but heaps of fun Bought at T120v bonneville after that Bit different to the peaky 2 strokes with clipons and rearsets I ride now Psyguy wants to build a bobber too http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/gr...cussionid=1660
