Coming back from Levin this afternoon, got passed by nice standard Katana AND Suzi RGV 500. 1st RGV I've seen in NZ.
Suzi RGV 500? The hybrid 250/500? I didn't know of any around here.
They were the rival to Yamaha RD 500 LC, never really caught on at home, no faster than a sorted 350 and in next insurance bracket.
Ahh, you mean the RG500?
What well sorted 350 did you have in mind? TZ350?
Ahh, you mean the RG500? They might be RGV500's in the UK? or maybe just Yorkshire.................. All RZ's in the UK are called RD YPVS, and all the water cooled RD's in Japan are called RZ's
Any well sorted 250/350 Yam or Suzi 2 stroke was tuned by Stan Stephens. He was responsible for probably 75% of the proddie racing LC's and RGV's. That was in the glory days of proddie racing when even at club level we had grids of 20+ and 1/2 0f those were novices 1st corner crashes of 1/2 the grid and 3 restarts weren't unknown
