I'm after a spoked back wheel for my bobber project. 18" , wider than 120 and r/h side disc brake. Doesn't matter about condition providing it's solid. I'm happy to rechrome or respoke.
If anyone as anything gathering cobwebs let me know.

i've been looking into bobbers for a while myself but I dont think Ive ever seen an 18" spoke wheel that would take a tyre any wider than 120. what do you have in mind?
my "plan" (ok, it's really a phantasy only... ) would be to use a rear wheel from Honda Rebel (or similar small ccm cruiser type bike), i think they're 15" but you can get a nice fat tyre for it.

I'm building a frame around a Suzi GS550 motor, stock GS front end with maybe a couple of extra degrees rake. Was looking at 18 or 19 " rear with 18 " front so needs to look balanced. I'll have a look at what some of the bigger cruisers use. If push comes to shove I think I'd rather sacrifice width for diameter

You're probably stuck with getting a wheel from a large trailbike and getting another rim to respoke onto it

I'll put some pics up soon as I get sorted. At moment I'm building jig and putting empty motor together to give me mounting points and chain run (thats why I need back wheel). Be looking at getting started properly over xmas.

Quick pole of the masses - can you put cast wheels on a bobber without it looking ? Personally, I think not.

A nice pair of early Kwaka cast wheels would be sweet.

Although I prefer spokies on a bobber, the EARLY Jap cast wheels look all right, too, imho.

Just to keep my options open, does anyone have a bare back hub kicking about ? Doesn't matter if it's drum or disc brake, alternatively, a back wheel with a knackered rim. I can get rims from England a bit cheaper (hopefully) than here but need to have hub 1st so I can match them up.

I've got a complete rear wheel off of an AG200. Motor was donated to a go cart and the young chap gave me wheels and forks. It's an 18". I'm sure I've got the brake shoes/ housing etc at work somewhere. Complete or I can cut hub out if you like. I've just got to remove the knobbly first.

That would be perfect, either with or without rim. Send me a PM with price, if you can tell me how many spokes it has and I'll just check I CAN get a rim to suit. But they have a good selection so should be ok.
