Is using flat top pistons and Chev LS1 valve gear what you want in a motorcycle engine? For a modern engine design,I like it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=2kooYoibfeA
Interesting project Motu. Sounds like it would be a good replacement engine for a Harley!! But going back to push rods? I guess its easier and weight saving against designing a quad cam setup. Certainly sounds the goods. Not sure why they shut it down so abruptly on the video clip though!!
Overhead valves. Why is every one so fixated on over head valves. If one *must* have all those clattery valvey and cammy things going round n round n up n down , wasting power and adding complexity and cost , as well as throwing away half the engine revolutions (proper bikes manage very well without any of that ), then side valves are *so* much superior.
