    Ridge Road.
Used to be gravel, now beautifully sealed and in mint condition.
Go through Riverhead township heading along the Riverhead/Coatsville hwy, cross over the bridge and it's the second on the right. Winds through all the way to Albany with plenty of corners. Kicks Old North Road's bumpy old arse for enjoyment, then when your in Albany you can take the Pare road (wave to the crims on the way through) back, then it joins up with Ridge Road and onto Riverhead for a beer at Helaratu

It is fairly built up but not as bad as Scenic Drive, and a lot less traffic.

    Enjoy

Maybe when the old couple at the B n B make some dosh they will seal that last 2 metres of the drive....
Some folks will go around the houses to avoid gravel.....
No wonder the Ities did so poorly in Norf Afrika..... tee hee.

You must have been out of your southern territory for that one! It is a scratcher's road. Tight, windy and really suitable for an agile mid capacity bike. It turns to custard if you get behind a 4WD as there are limited passing places. I rode it this morning and noticed the inevitable cop on Peak Rd hoping for someone going for a safe blat to come by. Time I built up a 500 single!

Yes I was picking up a quad trailer from a wealthy LSB owner who was selling it because the axle was broken off the frame...big deal.. 1/2 hr and 3 stick rods later
He had bought a plastic tray replacement one. Throw away generation.

I somehow suspected it wasn't really the ideal road for the Ambo!

Buggar, Ah well not to worry, I will be going to the end on my drive on the TZR a bit later, turn right and ride 40kms of windys on Middle road to scrub in the new slicks and test the new forks. the bike is even legal(ish) apart from the slicks it would get a WOF. Will take the road gear off when ii get back a get it ready for TRRS

Its such a pain to travel so far to do such things.........................and theres a pub at the end of the Middle Road too

Know it well. It's a pity Duchies not running it anymore. Anyway why bother stopping when you can loop around to some slighty interesting stuff via Elsthorpe. Nothing like a 6 inch road drop to get your arse puckering.

Yep, its a good loop alright, and then you go Tukituki Rd to Haumoana and have a ale there. The Elsethorpe road is in a shocking condition at the moment, unmarked shingle, ruts, need tp take my DT175 to do it lol

Ps , Forgot about stock, turkeys, kamakazi Paradise ducks on the Elsethorpe road too

Nothing unusual really. It seemed ok a couple of weeks ago. Mind I'm riding a rather rattly ol overweight v-twin quite sadately not an agile 2-stoke Bridge Pa through to Argyle is one of my favorates. Sometimes mosey up Burma Rd (some is unsealed), off HW2, to hook on to it. It'd be a good one to take out of towners on.
