With half the usual BFTP crew down for bike repairs I'm not sure if it's even worth asking this question , but is there going to be a Coro loop ride this December ?? There's only 2 weekends left before the holiday rush and the Coro roads become un-rideable for a few weeks due to the heavy holiday traffic.
set a date after mid Jan and some how I'll come and met u ( not allowed any holidays mid December >< mid January)
and its no from me Piers....
Can't see a Coro loop in my immediate future either, sorry guys. The lovely Mrs H has managed to tear the Achilles tendon in her right leg, and is on ACC for the next four weeks 'cos she's unable to drive due to the plaster cast. She snapped the Achilles tendon in her left leg three years ago, so she's well aware of what she's in for. She is not happy . . . .
That's no good Max, Diane has done the cruciate (sp?) and is in the same gammy boat for the next few weeks unless it does not heal then it's an operation to fix Was carting her around in the new quad trailer this weekend. Did not realise the quad exhaust was blowing right in her face the whole time but she was kinda 'happy' when we finally stopped Sorry Ivor, no Coro loop for me either this year- not that I'm scared or anything
you guys need to go easy on the rough stuff
wow, it's not only the bikes that are down for repairs... sorry to hear that guys...
heck..there seems to be a trend developing. older bikes and older riders are matching injury for injury. and taking about as long to get back on the road darn it. Id be keen to do Coro about the same time frame as Wickle. I grew up there, and lost my first boyfriend in a bike crash on that road...Havent been back since I was 20 something so probably due for a visit. Just need to get something out of the shed running semi reliably.
I;m going to do a trip in Jan 2011, applied for a couple of days off (20th /23rd Jan) my own plan is to ride >Napier >Gisborne>East Cape> Tauranga>Thames,Coro Loop> Hamilton way possible , home on the sunday,
it would be good to catch up when you get to thames, coro, hammy area
