Can you leave some of your Elves here to finish off my bike projects as I'm trying to get my deck finished for Xmas....ps one of those new Nortons would be nice too oh and a bit of world peace would be nice too as the Americans are busy at the moment. PPS...Dodgy already has too many Guzzis and he's been a naughty boy too....a Hyosung V twin will do for him...
a Hyosung V twin will do for him At least the engine is the right way around for a start
i would like some Elves too! suzuki knowledge ones plus a pixie house keeper
Dear Santa,I would like a rego'd GS1000 frame please.......
Just a runner and a bit of sunshine on the day will do me please Santa. P.S. don't worry about the Hyosung- I'm fine.
Dear Santa, could you please let me borrow some elves to take my place at work and home, so i can strip both my bikes and repair/repaint/rebuild them without the hassle of going to work, and being told i dont spend enough time with the family
Heeryago Dodgy, a full entertainment package for Christmas...
that little pixie can come to my house
And does she have a sister - with a decent bike?
Just a bunch of dirty old men! It's necessary to hire these fresh young things, just to sell one of those things. BTW, her sister is helping me with my porting job.
Those Hondas on thekneeslider.com would look under the tree. If you scroll down there is a book on the collected knowledge of how to keep Guzzis going. I don't know if Santa could get that down a suburban chimney. I shouldn't say too much as I worked for the original Guzzi importer in the 70s and spent 2 weeks in the factory. I was responsible for those Stornellos etc that turn up from time to time on TM.

Dodgy: Rest of Us: I present exhibit A. So tell us a bit more about the early adventures of a Moto Guzzis importer... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-341150229.htm
I was managing an engineering company in Chch making Gnats. Remember those 3 wheeled farm buggies? Anyway we applied for and got the Guzzi agency. I had to take off to England for 3 months with my ( then) wife and part of that entailed going to the Guzzi factory on the edge of Lake Como. We had several tours of inspection including the museum which was closed to the public. I sat on a V8 racer and inspected all their other exhibits. We regularly had lunch in the ristorante across the road. Being based in Como we dashed along to Monaco to watch brother race and made other tours about. We packaged up a bunch of Stornellos , 50s, a couple of 850Ts and a California which we had sold to a guy in Oamaru. Anyway lots of observations about Italian manufacturing and period details so ask me when we catch up. I almost got the Rickman agency but Stitchburys got that. The Rickman frame is way easier to build than a Featherbed which is why my jig is rusting. Being based in England was great. We regularly made fast trips to Silverstone for tyre testing and it was always interesting to see what else was in the pits. There was lot more friendliness with F1 in those days.
