Following breakfast in bed a full confession and much promising of house renovating .......plus a bit of " I really miss Toaster and the BSA........" I can now say I'm the owner of a 1972 Norton Commando Combat So any unwanted whitworth tools glady accepted. The bike is currently in Blenheim....so its a plane trip, ferry trip and road trip. Going to get it on the 28th as its a long weekend here. Going to stay with a mate in Welly and then on Saturday up the centre of the NI unless anyone has better ideas. Offers of trailers have been coming in already....
Very noice. Ride report please....
Yep, take your camera Mr Nortaire Oh, and don't forget your tie downs for the ferry too.. I wondered why you seemed cooler lately, stuff the Toaster mate, that is the real deal in cheap rego rides I have a small selection of excess whitty spanners if you need to fill some gaps, possibly some 1/4 drive sockets as well- they may need a squirt of CRC
The Toaster was only purchased for the now defunct 500cc racer project.... I like the /5's but not the 500 and 600's they are just too underpowered. Getting the list of stuff together: AA card, Visa, phone, tie downs, waterproofs, camera, some cool tee shirt, iron on tattoos, stick on beard..... Will I have to change my avatar....?
i just got back from nelson I could have brought it back up for you....
i just got back from nelson I could have brought it back up for you.... .....if only I'd known.....
You'll have to pop in, I'm only up road from Welly and you could always go over Rimutakas, up SH2 to Palmy / Feilding then National Park.
Beautiful bike, but it seems to be missing something. ... more yellow, perhaps?
... more yellow, perhaps? Your getting me mixed up with Guzzi Cafe Racer boy....
You'll have to pop in, I'm only up road from Welly and you could always go over Rimutakas, up SH2 to Palmy / Feilding then National Park. I'm staying with a mate in Newlands on Friday night and he was going to ride a bit North with me on his new Trumphy to make sure I don't come back.......
A black bike - nice.Commando's are pretty good too.One of the few bikes I've ridden that has had me laughing out loud while ridding - they are that much fun to ride. If you get involved doing some deeper mechanical work, you'll need one of these...you can borrow it for a 6 pack.
OK Motu. I'll bite. What the fek is it?
Alignment tool you make by butchering a case. Dr Bob has one too Hey Volty, will you still wanna hang out wiff us after you get it? We is not worthy How about that dude who joined BFTP and was asking if anyone with a Norton wanted to go for a ride with him... I would have offered to follow along with my 3 bike trailer as long as there were not more than 3 of 'em. No one had a Norton at the time and he never posted in here again. You could be fwends with him
..........
You could be fwends with him are you talking to me.....punk?
