This particular piece of kit looks like is as safe as playing tag with a pissed off tiger. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-351307248.htm
Very interesting... I thought ABS worked with sensor wheels on the discs so how the heck does that thing work? I would love to put modern safety upgrades onto my bikes but that just baffles me. Anyone shed some light on it?
It sort of looks liks a Pnuematic flow control, you would get the same brake pressure but it would get to the caliper progressively and you would be able to back off the lever pressure in time to stop it locking a wheel. Will be for the Chinese market were the brakes are either full on or off I wonder what LTSA think of crap like this
For $20 it is sure to be subjected to stringent quality control and testing (Tui). I bet it works by reducing fluid flow as pressure increases. IE: In a full power braking situation it blocks fully. No pressure means no wheel lockup, right? Therefore it is an ABS system.
Norton thought of anti locking brakes in the 70's....called Lockheed ( oxymoron name if ever I heard one)......
