I've been to that before and it was a good day out. By the look of that website I reckon they need some more yellow bikes...

i think last year it was on the same day as the final round of the superbikes at HD and the Whangamata beach hop.......which split the biking community a bit....

Beach hop is full of rodders and accountants on hogglies

Bikes and Blues was good last year, a bit of a mission getting there wot with the long sprawl of 50km/h bottleneck all the way from Barrys Point Rd to the venue but otherwise I have fond memories of whitebait fritters, groovy music and cool bikes

Yeah,it was a really good day...but 125km to Auckland is not on my to do list.

I went last year, it was OK. Not awesum but OK.

The REAL good thing about it, is it is in Devonport. So, I can take Mrs Ix, drop her at the Devonport shops where she will happily amuse herself all afternoon doing whatever it is chicks do in shops, while I go to the BBB. So, not only does it not count against my brownie point credits for days out, but it gives double Brownie points for "doing things together". And Devonports not too bad for getting a feed afterward.

Also, the old fort is sort of interesting in its own right.

Yes they told me not to park on the fort roof in case it collapsed.
Some folk can't tell their GS's from Guzzis

Honest- that is what the fun Nazi told me.
I'm not going to this event so you lot take heaps of pictures.
Like Motu the 120km of motorway and 20km of bottleneck 50km zone does not make it much fun for a ride, one would even say it would suck so hard it could start a Norton via the exhaust pipes
