I don't read much on the main forum anymore,so had to go back to the beginning to see what it was all about.Sheesh - no wonder I don't follow threads there.
yeah....the power of the R6......i think she came from a B90?? is that the boulevard?
C'mon guys...wheres the edited version without all the tosspot comments....now I have to read it..... 23 pages...stuff that......
lovely girl....rides a bike...buys an R6......people tell her to be careful......1 week?? later she crashes and breaks lots of things...lays lost for 5 hours before ambo arrives......loads of KB'ers go to hospital to help out......etc etc
1 week? I thought someone said 3 days? I'd have to read it all again and I can't be fucked
Pics of the new R6 on the 17th, reports of the crash 22nd
the wind must have caught her.........im not sure FM in a nurses outfit would make anyone feel better.......laugh a lot yes...
I know her & was speaking to her earlier that Sunday & is a very carefull rider, what happened, was she got lost, was going over a series of humps in the road & after last one the road turns 90 degrees right, the farmer has pulled out 8 or 9 vehicles from this paddock, so speed or the R6 was not really the problem, unless not used to the new bike?? lets hope she heals up soon
yeah from what i read she certainly sounded like she understood to take it easy.....like everything i guess....easier when something happens fast if you know your bike well.....
Funnily enough, the lovely Mrs Headroom had a similar misadventure at a similar age to Katiepie, under similar circumstances. She'd learnt to ride on a mighty Honda MVX250, which proved to be quite reliable in spite of their fierce reputation for seizing the rear cylinder. By now hooked on 2-strokes, she replaced it with a Suzuki RG400, and binned it spectacularly about 9 months later on a road that she completely mis-read. The bike was a write-off, and the lovely Mrs H was badly bruised all over but nothing was actually broken. So, I can understand how an accident like this could happen. I am also reminded of why I don't bother with the KB forums at all . . . . it's just a maelstrom of half-baked opinions stated as fact, and folk getting bent outta shape over it all. No thanks. I felt though that the visit by Faith and The Fat Guy was kinda nice though, and Katiepie seems like a genuinely nice girl. Hope things work out for her.
t's just a maelstrom of half-baked opinions unlike the half witted and half pie you can get here at the fringe. Yes I hope she gets better soon too. I fell she could do without the whole world knowing and chipping in. Maelstrom......isn't that a Honda....?
the fringe.....so we are like 1%ers.......or is that 1/2 piecenters........
I'd like to think that the fringe has more to offer. A kaleidescope of interesting and considered thoughts and opinions, carefully and intelligently presented for the group's consideration and edification. Or something like that anyway . . . .
Far out, over't there it's like someone has thrown a hunk of raw meat into the piranha pond.
