Ok so been doing some investergating, basicly wasting time, anyways the RG cranked 45hp not bad for the 1st modle... but did it have power valves? the next version was up to 49hp then the RGV's seem to drop to 45 again... bit odd?

Nope no valves on the RG250. RGV250 had them.

I remember a mate that races/did race one there is a Mk 1, 2 and 3 (maybe on the 3) I found him one for spares and he said it was Mk1 and his was a Mk2 or something like that

Im sure his is a later one (86ish) and has powervalves, maybe its got RGV cylinders fitted, have only seen it minus its fairings once when we were repairing it after a crash

Hes a pommy chap and I think its his bike from the UK, might be different spec to NZ models

that site shows a RGV that looks like a RG as well, nothing like a VJ21

Ok so the mk1 has no power valves... at 45hp thats good compared to the LC at 35hp and even the YPVS 250 at 47hp... that right??? (my info here www.motorcyclespecs.co.za )
3mk's of RG the origional as we know it and the Walter Wolf with fairing wraped around the exhaust... whats the 3rd mk?
The WW RG was only up 4hp... so that cant be power valved over the 82 version? Then we get into the RGV's (dont cear bout them)

Ok just been to the www posted above, seems slight fairing changes between the 83 and 86, I'v never seen em no remember em so I asume they were not NZ market bikes, could be were the mk's come from.

And yeah I'd be keen on one, love strokers but dislike power valves, a real stroker has a savage power band
