Personally, I find all mine gets used . There is a sort of food chain of oil - ultimately ending up as weedkiller.

Many garages in HB allow general disposal of waist oil, for their regular customers. Mine certainly does. I use a 20 litre plastic container which usually requires emptying annually. It receives waist oil from 2 bikes and 2 cars.

in henderson, the refuse station takes waste oil for free... that's where i've been taking it as it's close to me... but ripco's new scheme is certainly more user friendly as their stores are everywhere... like weeds
now, speaking of weeds... with two cars and one bike in the family that makes it for approx 15 litres of waste oil every 6 months. how BIG does your paddock need to be to use THAT MUCH oil as a weedkiller??

Gone are the days when they used to pay you for waste oil.I did a tour of the old oil recycling plant in Onehunga not long before they shut it down.Getting rid of the waste products was becoming a hot potato....pass it on.I used to run cars and bikes on the stuff,I don't remember any blowing up because of the crap oil I was using...and blaming the oil would be an easy way out rather than admit my own guilt in it's demise.

Ah, Supreme Oil. It was good stuff. I never accumulated enough of the old stuff to sell, m'self. Between what was burned, what leaked, and what went over my boots it was all accounted for. Never changed oil, just a constant flow process. hey , it works for two strokes.

Never used anything else but, the fancy branded oil was for the rich ponces. Oil's oil was the ruke back then. Only question was SAE30 or SAE40. Still rather inclined to think that oil's oil.

If it needs fancy shit it needs simplifcation. My new mantra

LOL...yeah oil certainly has changed..........what can't it do these days?....although i was reading recently about an old bike that had issues when it first came out in the 70's.....but the guy that restored it said a number of those old issues went away with modern oil.....
