2012 is approaching and thats more 40 year old bikes to choose from. With rego running at over $500 for a modern and just over a hundy for a classic there are savings to be made on bikes that don't get used every day. $400 a year adds up to over 4000 till 1980 rolls around. The Honda 750/4 offers classic styling with power and electric start. So this is really only 6K if you kept it for 10 years... http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/moto...-390237286.htm to this at only $60k http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/moto...-302675458.htm Others are: Moto Guzzi Ambassador Norton Commando Triumph Bonneville BSA Thunderbolt Kawasaki H1 500 Suzuki GT 750 BMW /5 series ( none on TM at moment) The Oil In Frame BSA's and Bonnies seem to be the most reasonably priced and both have excellent spares back up. I understand that it can get expensive to get the trim parts for older Japanese bikes and bits like carbs and exhausts.( when I say old I don't mean the 80's).....that is like it was yesterday, old is what Motu and Ixion remember....
pre '72 'onda is on the top of cheap rego desireable bikes for me. but i would want one that i can do up myself because as we all now that's the chepest way to have a good bike
Heres a good one: Would seem like a lot of bike for you buck.....cheaper than the Italian Harley knock offs... ] http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/moto...-390339599.htm
and plenty of parts...
I could see you on that Harley Cmoore...nudge nudge
me too.....
I would need armpit extensions.
Cheap rego rules! It is a middle finger raised to 'The Man' every time you ride it. Screw Nick Smith, without lube. What are you rebelling against Johnny? Everything I can think of, and some other stuff that will come to me later. That Skirtster would need a better front brake, that one is for decorative purposes only
http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/moto...-389652919.htm Make a usable daily cheap rego bike. I still love the exhaust even after all these years.
That 350/4 is dated wrong, they did not exist in 1970, I am sure they were released in 1973. The 750 came first, followd a couple of years later by the 500/4 then the 350/4 followed a couple of years after that again. And that exhaust is incorrect for the 350/4. hey originally had 4 into 4 system like its big brothers, that system looks like a 400/4 system. But I agree that the system looks good. On a second look I don't think now that it is a 400/4 system either, just a well made generic 4 into1.
too many cylinders for such small dispacement imho but a very nice bike nonetheless. definitely not a 1970 though
Honda350/4 think first year 1972 olive/black tank 1973 red tank (i think)
