Been a while since we had out very much appreciated day at the Downs, thanks to DD. I'm thinking of going for a training day to learn some racin' stuff. Probably looking at around November. Might give me the motivation to get track bike together.....winter .....over it.... http://www.hamptondownsridedays.co.nz/index.php
last time i had to watch bftp crew doing laps with tears in my eyes as Bruno was off the road... but not this time!
Bit far for me to travel and I'd need a bike that actually goes, maybe next year
actually I am planning to do the level 1 course at the california superbike school using one of their bikes later this year.....

there are options...so day course + their bike + insurance + gear is about $1150.....your bike..no insurance...no gear...$429.......
anyway...of for a ride now!!
I would like to do the SBK course too.. Need to start saving up for that, even if I take one of my old pussers it is a fair whack of me pension

Lol..................
The SBK school is money well spent. Probably the best 400 odd bux I've ever spent on a bike. And not just for racers either. I wonder if there'd be enough interest to hire the track for a classic bike only day?
Probably the best 400 odd bux I've ever spent on a bike. great, you can give us couch potatoes a bit of a story then..... classroom stuff... group or one on one? I think I'd take a modern for that.....last time the Darmah had a flogged out wheel bearing ( that I noticed on the day) and I had to rev the engine to hide the squeeking pushing it up for scrutineering....
yeah thats why i plan on using their bikes....be a chance to have a go on something a bit new........
The classroom is a group. You don't need 1 on 1. The stuff they cover in the first stage is very simple. You'll be very surprised I think, but I also think you'll be very surprised how good it is. It's very relaxed and you get to ask as many stoopid questions and stuff as you need to. Just do it.
