Ok, so it's been snowing in the main street of Pukekohe this morning, and the lovely Mrs Headroom tells me that it's snowing at home (Meremere). To say that this is an unusual event would be an understatement.

    Anyone else experiencing weird weather?

Yeah, there were a few road signs leaning at odd angles on the Waikato Expressway this morning on the way to work, due to the fearsome winds we copped last night down here too.

They lied, Psy. They would get no interest if it was advertised as the " Arsehole of the Pacific". Creative license is everything.

I saw that big bank of dark cloud heading our way before lunch, but it missed us,and that must be what hit Pukekohe and Auckland, coming from the S/W. We saw some snow, but it melted as soon as it hit the ground....and saw the new word, graupel - it was falling like snow, but hit the ground as tiny hail.

Anyone heard from Dodgy or is the Niake Guzzi haven under several feet of snow ... the muffled sounds of Vtwins idling in the darkness as he cuddles the spread cylinder heads to prevent hypothermia.

Yes I managed to free my 'tongue' from the Ambo block, thanks.

It was wild alright. Standing on the ridge with snow flakes swirling around... kept checking the tiny coal range every 5 minutes last night to see if I could possibly jam some more fuel in it.
