    The Postie is officially underway
I was originally going to do most of the mods on the GS while it was on the road and just take it off about february to do motor ready for Vic Club winter series. However, having thought about it over weekend, frankly it's not worth putting on road for at most 5 months.
It needs new back tyre, wof, reg and it really needs rewiring as well and frankly I can't be bothered. I'm building another project bike as a rolling advertisement for the business anyway so I might as well get that underway as well.
So - stuff to do on GS,
    Strip right down.
    Rebuild forks.
    New front wheel.
High bars, knackered wrist and elbow means I can't use low bars.+ high bars are COOL.
Race seat + front guard and maybe fork brace.
    Rearsets.
    Totally rebuild motor.

I therefore have for sale -
1 x BRAND NEW Sport Demon front tyre. $100
GS seat. Good solid base and new foam/ cover. $40

To be honest, apart from the tyre / seat there's nothing else really worth salvaging. I AM however keeping sidepanels and tail unit if anyone wants fibreglass replicas making. I will also be making a front guard so again am happy to knock out copies for anyone.

Out of fiberglass? I'd be interested...

I'm hoping I'll get chance to do some fibreglass bits in next few weeks, then I can work some prices out. I'd be happy to make bits in exchange for any knackered bits that people have kicking about that I can recycle as patterns.
Should have mentioned in previous post, tyre is a front, 100/90 x 19.

just a thought here - the stock mudguard has an integrated fork brace - does that mean that with a fiberglass mudguard you then need to use a separate (aftermarket) brace?

Yep, I'll be making fork brace. I'm just investigating tyres at moment. I want to change front wheel, this one's had a ding straightened out and it's fine for road but not happy racing with it + I really want to switch for 18". Depending on what I end up with I may need to make new yokes as well.
Not to mention, the stock wheels are HEAVY!!!!!!!!

My LC will back in the shed shortly, RZ wheel conversion and fix the bent bits.

Hope to have it ready for Winter series final and the Post Classic GP at Taupo, I hope to make it past turn 5 this time..........................

Any idea when the GS will be ready Dave?

Haven't checked dates yet but hope to catch tail end of Pacific club.
Had the apprentice pit crew (age 4) helping to start ripping it apart. Motor will definately need going over. Headers were stuck in with silicone Doesn't fill me with confidence.

Wasn't me - honest. Back in the day I was too cheap to use silicon when an arc welder was available.
