I know...probably one here already but anyway the new TT movie forced me to remember the last bike movie i watched....rent and enjoy Freebird is a 2008 British comedy film directed by Jon Ivay and starring Gary Stretch, Geoff Bell, Phil Daniels and Peter Bowles. Plot Three friends, Fred (Stretch), Tyg (Bell) and Grouch (Daniels), set out on a motorcycle trip to Wales in order to bring back a haul of cannabis for Fred's friend The Chairman (Bowles). What was meant to be a nice weekend in the country soon turns into an ordeal. Along the way, they encounter revenge seeking bikers and a giant masked wrestler in the pub. Or maybe it's just those magic mushrooms they had for breakfast.
anyone seen this one?? #16. Silver Dream Racer A young hot-headed motorbike enthusiast inherits the prototype for an incredibly fast machine which was designed by his brother. He successfully gets the finance for it, and uses the bike to challenge for the world championship at Silverstone.
I remember reading a review which rated it as one of the cheeziest movies ever when it was released. Apparently nowadays it's quite funny to watch as a period movie.
Silver dream racer used the Barton Phoniex motor I was just reading about it a few days ago http://www.bartonphoenix.moonfruit.com/
I saw Freebird recently, it is on the library dusty DVD shelves. No comedy to be had there. Supposed to be a brit version of Wild Hogs except that Wild Hogs was mildly funny.
That TT movie is awesome. I could see it again and again. Pity the lead rider in the story was largely incomprehensible.
Good job Guy Martin wasn't Irish or a Geordie then
come on dodgyiti.....wasn't one of the bikes a guzzi??.....I have to admit i watched it with the wife and kids and they kept telling what a weird movie it was!!....and wild hoggs isn't a bad movie........
