The rally will take place on the 10th, 11th and 12th of Febuary 2012. It would be advisable to turn up on the Friday (10th) so you can be rested and ready for the Saturday Day Ride. This will be 4-5 hours duration including lunch and a ferry trip. The alternative wet Saturday ride will be of 2-3 hours duration including lunch. The ride will take in the stunning bays and beaches of the Bay of Islands, plus some secondary sealed inroads around the forests etc. Even if you have been around the far north, we have some good local knowledge up there to ensure some neat places to explore and the scenery matches all that is great about New Zealand motorcycling. Saturday night will be a group BBQ at the splendid and scenic facilities at the base camp. Alternative wet meal will be at a local Kerikeri resturant. Base camp is the Kerikeri Top Ten Holiday Park. Please make your bookings-> http://www.kerikeritop10.co.nz/ It is a nice place and they provide individual cabins, tent sites etc and only a few minutes from town. Sunday will be a farewel breakfast and cruise home. Peter and I will be timing the route and testing the lunch quality in a few weeks. Should be a good one, please let me know if your able to make it.

whats happening to your internet??
Arsewipe Farmside is a rip off, $126 + GST a month for 2G.... I'm over it. Can't get broadband any other way out here and they know it the grasping bastards
I heard of a guy out south who has started up a bundled network service using radio...he gets a few properties together and then transmits locally to the nearest land connection....
Dodgy. Could be worth asking around the banjo players in your area to see if any of them have put in a wireless repeater that you can link to. Someone put one in down the road from me, but on the other side of a couple of hills (bugger).
I'm sure I read an article once in a Popular Mechanics about a guy who managed to build a communications satellite from left over Guzzi parts.
Here's a picture of Jimmy Page as a child....
yeah apparently they have a site in huntly and Hunua that they are testing before rolling it out further...
