Welcome to BFTP trustme, hope you enjoy yourself and get to some of the rides.
related to cheapbastard?.......
my dad once told me " never trust anyone that starts a sentence with the words .....trust me"...................just sayin
A Triumph Scrambler looks old, trustme not only looks old but really is old - so is that the criteria for him joining us?
Trustme I ride a Triumph, Mrs rides a Triumph . T140 race bike in the garage Hi Motu, every group has a resident crusty old curmudgeon , you must be it. A dapper young chap like me would never qualify. The T140 might just about be your cuppa
Yeah, love your T140 - it's 100% what I'm into.
sweet lookin trumpy the TM..........
it could also mean rust met.....
Is that a Trackmaster tank? Nickle plate the frame and pretend it's the real thing - nobody would know.
Tank & bars courtesy of Omar's. I wanted an alloy tank but they were way too spendy. He runs . He, because he is called Winston, hope to do a bit of testing at Puke on Saturday ready for racing out there in February. Last time out was a disaster, ran great at home on Saturday, Sunday at Puke it would only run on 1 cylinder & spent the day chasing my tail to sort it. Since then have fitted a bloody great earth direct from the battery to the cylinder head, stripped the carbs AGAIN , fitted hotter plugs as the N5's seemed to oil up a little, rechecked the Boyer for timing. Here's hoping I have not dicked around with 'old ' brits since my 850 Interstate in the 80's. There is a lot to learn.
resident crusty old curmudgeon.......so you know Motu then...........
I have Omars Slideways on my bike too - I love them. I tried to get someone here to bend me up some bars, but they just aren't interested in thinking outside the box. I was going to buy a bender and do it myself, but was cheaper to import. I was going to use an Omar seat, but got Euroglass to custom make one to fit the BMW.
Oh, glory be. Reinforcements for the pukka chappies. a few more proper bikes and we,ll be ready to take on the abominable Boches and the unspeakable Nippons. There's hope yet, still muddling through, pip pip. Very nice bike, except for that funny thing on the front where the front brake drum should be. and someone has done a very strange mod to the rear brake lever, it al oats looks like a second gear lever.
Gads a gear shift on the left, all is not lost , it has the correct shift pattern of up for first
looks like a copy of the XS650
