Made a few alterations this week.
Had engineer mate machine down the carb stubs and make up plasic bushes to reduce heat transfer and improve seal.
took out nifty gearbox/air cleaner clamp home made vent and was soaking the air cleaner in EP90....
Swapped out the mains from 138's to R90s 155's
Hoping it will pull 7000 in top...might not as I never hit rev limiter at HD....
I wonder how the high geared Nortons and Dukes will go on a more twisty undulating circuit....
Still $135.00 for 2 days is pretty good for track time.

They might change the secondary gearing..... I do - I go 1-2 teeth more on the back for Hampton.....

Awesome day at HD...and someone... picked up a 'plaque' from last weekend for best 750
Racing today was great....I forgot to roll on the throttle more on the long sweeper got blitzed by the Ducati and ran off the track.....over the rumble strips....my dirt bike skills.... came in there.
In the race Trust me and I made it into the top 10 ....better than last week.
I managed a consistent 1.34 lap time.... 18 seconds off Mr Ducatis pace.....oh well.

Sunday is looking good, and there is even a scratch race

What do you call the long sweeper? where you turn right to come up the hill?

    Wow...what a weekend....I'm knackered.
Good turnout of BFTP riders today, nice to see you all.
The first Open Class race saw the rider of the Ducati 900Ss bin it on turn 2, fortunately apart from a smashed fairing and some bent levers there was not too much damage.
The second race saw Trust Me an myself battle it out at the back of the field....its a lot harder to pass at HD than at Puke and overall the times between the leaders and enders are less.
At race three I hit form for the day and clocked my best time of 1.33 ....and to my surprise 1.33 for three laps....weird.
The right hand cylinder touched turn 4 a few times.
Malcy ( the unshaven one...) gave me the heads up on tyre pressures, and by the end of the day I had gone from 32/34 to 28/28 which seemed to give the desired wear/use pattern....Malcy is like a palm reader for tyres.

Trust Me also experimented with pressures but found 0 PSi a bit low..... He also has a nice plaque from Puke for the Puel Room...

right hander heading up to the hairpin?
Interesting you say it is harder to pass, I would have thought with more corners there would be more opportunity
