anyone know where I can get perforated tube for exhaust baffles From a perforated exhaust tube shop? Somewhere like Magoos or Pitstop will have it either on the shelf or be able to order it in
As its BFTP you have to make like the old days here in New Zealand when it was either not available or brought in by greedy importers.....

There is also a photo in that issue of my old R17 BMW. I bought it in England, shipped it home and spent a few years restoring it. It is now with BMW Australia resting in peace. It was too rare to ride so I sold it to them.

I always wondered if there was some way to punch the holes. Its such a pain drilling them. I've also considered getting perforated plate, rolling it round a mandrel and welding. But the diameter is quite small (only about 1" maybe, and it wouldn't be easy to roll (without proper panel gear).
Go to an exhaust place and ask for a bag of baffle holes and some welding wire to assemble them.

'Ere, is yuz imprunating mah england ? I saw them but they are much too big OD. And too short . I need about 1" - 1 1/2 " maybe and about a foot longish. Last time I asked for a bagfull of holes, by the time I got home all the holes had leaked away .
In Chch we have Jackson sheet metal who do perforated sheet you can buy, when I first went there they first asked what profile? huh what you talking about sez I, lady pulls out a book with dozens of pages with all sorts of combinations of holes in different sizes and patterns, whatever you've got an offcut of will do me was the correct answer
57 holes in each boffle! And six of them to do ! And small diameter tube is shitty stuff to drill small holes in, drill always wants to skid off down the side and break. I'll need to make a jig. Meh, it can go in the "when I retire" basket.
The last exhuast I made, I bought a piece of perf tube from a muffler shop. I think it was about $10. Not worth the time to make one....
