Father O'Migod came in to day, so I had to run him back to the Catholic Church - but he got in the drivers seat. Pulling out from work onto SH1 can be a waiting game some days, but we hit a sweet spot, perfectly clear both sides. So off he goes and turns right and drives south down SH1....in the north bound lane !!! You hear about people driving on the wrong side of the road and the carnage that results....but to be sitting in the passenger seat while someone is doing it is a little unnerving. The road was still clear and he goes to turn down the Main St, but a rubbish truck is coming out onto SH1....Cars coming the other way were coming closer and he was starting to run out of options, and I didn't think he was going to be able to make those decisions. We could go left and join back up with the south bound lane,or turn right down Main St, so I gave him hand signals and quietly suggested we turn here - my son's boss was in his van at the intersection watching us as we turned around him. Problem solved, and now the rather bemused Father could carry on as planned. I told him I was glad he was in the car with me - some devine protection.
See that's the problem with religious people, they all think God is on their side so even if they die they still come out ok
