You sure it's not more appropriate to call this thread "The Unfixable Norton"?
Maybe their advertising needs updating.... Nightmare: spend hours and hours on the internet finding parts..... Buggered: nearly every part of a 40 year old bike is worn out. The Norton Expense: Find out how much restoring an old bike reallly costs. You even spend all the missus's money...."don't damage the paint love...its two pack"
You people are so harsh, me and my 1944 Norton did 150 miles on Saturday and the old girl started first kick each time and we even got over 50mph briefly.
Over 50...was it made especially to advance on the Italians.... Major Ntst8...obviously not planning on getting his knee down...
Nortons don't have a reverse gear

Cliff no but it was gravity assisted. And as for hills you can tell you are getting close to one as the bike slows down in anticipation.
Clutch is now sorted, if nice tomorrow might take it for a spin.....Kaiaua......Hellensville..... Hunua.....
