Anyone going ? www.barrysheenetranstasman.co.nz Combined classics, posties and sidecars with Aussies coming over to get the treatment I'm going but only for the Sunday unfortunately.
That would be a good weekend indeed
Looks like it's free...and I get to hoon around the track at lunchtime. I know Barry didn't ride a BMW, but I could pretend and show everyone how he would've done it on an R65.
Not free, but good value. Pre sales August 1st, camping allowed.
I think I will be going, must renew my licence.
Where's the entry fee? If it's not there it must be free - I'm going if it's free....not if i have to pay.
HD probably costs 10 k for a weekend so its highly likely there will be a gate fee.
I'll probably go to this, probably get to ride around the track at lunchtime as well..
I think there is a charge for that too...
All info is under EVENT DETAILS. Only $10 Sat and $20 Sun / Mon also 3 day passes including camping. Personally I think that's great value.
Flying up Saturday morning and home Sunday night, I'll have to put the word out in case someone needs a swinger for a sidecar
I may have a sidecar to swing on, it's not confirmed yet and won't know for a few weeks but here's hoping
Just checked on website for tickets. Supposed to be on sale on 1st but nothing there, going to get in touch and see what's happening.
I went to the CMCRR agm last week and they admitted that their web site is the internet version of the British Motorcycle industry circa 1976..... The moaning and complaining reminded me of 80's Union meetings crossed with Monty Python... " You can't have a short stroke and bigger bore" " yes you can..." " oh no you can't" " they never came like that" " yes they did...." and so on.... Dunno about tickets but they bugger all seating anyway.....bring a Bunnings $8 fold up chair and umbrella.... Trustme and myself will ( should) be there, I'll throw an extra couple of seats in the van.....
Just followed up on tickets. Sales SHOULD get put on Barry Sheene site next week.
