I've now seen on two ocassions new unmarked cops vehicles - Toyotas! Anyone else seen them? Dont know what model they are but they sure are ugly and blend in quite well with other uninteresting cages on the road, making them all that more difficult to spot. Over time I got profficient at spotting unmarked Holdens but these Toyotas are like being thrown a curved ball...
No knowledge Psy! Where did you see them? Unlikely to be patrol type vehicles. Did they have a radar on the dash?
Saw them on the motorway on both instances - not sure about the radar but they did have those blue/red flashing lights front and back. On one occassion the cop car was parked behind a civilian car on the motorway shoulder - in a typical fashion of being pulled over for speeding.
I have been on a thursday night ride with them sports bikes and they got pinged overtaking a HYUNDI LANTRA doing over 140 he caught up with them once we all stopped
That is shocking
what the riding with the sports bikes on a scooter or the HYUNDAI
Another trick is to park behind a car and leave the red & blue lights flashing. The average punter thinks the cop has pulled someone so speeds by. Only the front mufti is a plain clothes. Had a couple of friends caught this way.
lol, being pulled over by a hyundai is shocking, ICE on a scootah on the other hand is already an urban legend maybe the cop's cars I saw might have been hyundai's not toyotas - their badges are not that distinctive from each other
Friend of mine was pulled over by a VW with ski s on the roof on the Desert Rd. The Police had a deal with a local car company to swap their mufti cars.
My Missus got busted for 122 heading to Ruapehu with skis and boards on the roofrack ....cop said " in a hurry to ski are we?" ........it was 9:30 at night... .....$200.00 .....
