Tomorrow, Saturday 26th, I am going to leave the keyboard for a day and go riding. Auckland, through Howick, Clevedon and Orere Point and down the coast to Kaiaua for a fish and chip lunch on the foreshore and then on to Mangatawhiri, Hunua, Papakura and home.....200 ks more or less. Kaiaua at midday sounds a likely time .... might see you all on the way.
Good on you Rhys. Those of us who joined to make friends and share rides are trying to make a difference. I have new grandchild arriving tomorrow or I would join you. Call me if you want a northern meander sometime that includes coffee. See you at Kawhia.
mmmmm fish and chips...... no sorry can't tempt me I'm going to be having far too much fun....
But think of the credits you are earning in finishing the painting John!! Simon I hope all goes really well for the arrival of you grandchild, I am not sure whether the grandfather deserves congratulations but I offer them anyway. Tomorrow just happens to be my 72nd birthday and riding out to Kaiaua seemed like a good way to mark it. My wife and daughter are driving out in the car .... no one is prepared to ride pillion with me and I am not sure whether this is a reflection of age or my riding ability!! I will certainly be in touch re rides to the north though, and the coffee sounds like a good idea. Cheers, Rhys
Good on you Rhys for organising this, I've already got commitments for tomorrow, otherwise I would be there.
Hi Rhys, I'd love to pop over to Kaiaua, but I have made commitments for tomorrow unfortunately. :>) Nick
New Grandson! Couldn't wait to go to hospital and so he jumped the start this morning. Hmmm, Manx frame jig, sprint tank......two storied workshop the size of a house..... Birthday treat coming up! Enjoy the fish & chips. I will be doing a load of fresh mussel fritters ( amongst other things) for Kawhia.
Sorry working, story of my life right now. have a great day .
