Looks like I may have to resign from BFTP as my bike looks to be heading for the write off stage - not to bad damage wise but one set of pipes needs replacing and parts unavailable and if they were close to 650 pounds. Then have to replace the rotor cover, indicators, engine guard, mirrors and possible front shock repairs.

Might just have to tag along with ikiebikie if we ever have one of these "we ride" things that everyone talks about.

NB. looking at another bike but currently wont be pre 1990

NBB. When riding watch out for women with morning sickness coming round bends on your side of the road while wanting to be sick out of the window and hitting you on the left hand side of your side of the road. 2km south of Omapere.

The old CB750F2C came out of it remarkably well, its just that the parts are so expensive to replace and hard to find. Especially the exhaust. Injuries were minor but sore. Sore left hand & wrist, sore ribs, scraping and bruising up right leg and helmet graze left temple.

Currently have 2 bikes to look at 1995 CBR1000f (ex stolen and being given to me as will require couple of $k to reregister redo some paint work, new tyres etc) and a 1993 1200 Triumph Trophy which has been sitting garaged for the last 4 years but looked after and needs some electrical fix up to fuel injection??. (taken apart and put back together wrong (or something like that)).

Its in the hands of Boyds and the insurance company now so may not be many options for it unless it goes to auction. Got the CBR1000 in the garage at the mo - deregistered and needs a bit of work but its a GOER. Find out about the Triumph Trophy next week. Amazing how these comes up when you need them.. Still post 1990 but hey they are bikes and Trina's still flying on the GB400

Murray, you ARE a BFTP original and for what it's worth you can't resign.
We've ridden together for far too long for a bike age to stop us. And it won't! so there.
I propose that the BFTP makes Murray and Trina always BFTP honorary members from this moment on.
    Seconders? anyone.
