Looks like I have ended up with the Triumph Trophy 1200 (1994) - moved it today to another mates garage to get the wiring done correctly (as something was put back wrong) after cleaning out the carbs by the previous owner. Havent taken ownership yet but have ordered a belly pan and RH side fairing so looks like I am committed (or perhaps should be) whats the rules for BFTP - the rider must be pre 1980 - if thats correct I will still make the grade. Anyway if we do have a (WE RIDE BLAH BLAH BLAH) I will ensure ikiebikie brings her GB400 along so I can be her guest!! Still have yet to hear from insurance re writing bike off so end up with 2 and I also now have a CB1000 1995 sitting in the shed - deregistered and not charging when riding and needing some TLC. Owner has said anyone wants it as is $500 - could be a bargain for someone
hey murray, glad to here your close to being back on two wheels again mate that cb1000 sounds interesting..any way you could get a pic or two of it?
GOOD NEWS, good news, yep rider over 1980, fine by me. Go da trumpy, an da Big ol Nonda, keep em both Muzza, what the hell.
Caseye K well, the 1990 or older was our basic one and only rule. According to the one and only rule 1994 is too modern

Well do - if the trumpy hadnt come up I would have stuck with this - For the short time I did ride it it went like a rocket. Trumpy fired up and had a 30 mtr ride on Sunday - 2 bloody wet to go any further - still some bits to put back on but all going well should be on the road in the next couple of weeks - with full body parts depending on airpost from England

So, I wonder what we say to that guy who came on several BFTP rides on a 1998 Ducati 900SS a few years ago . . . . Or that sexy babe that rode on the Buell. Mr Voltaire I do solemnly promise I will not ride on one of the "We ride once a month. Our rides take 3 - 5 hours including stops and are generally held rain or shine". Boy thats really going to hurt!!!!!! But if I do, I believe that I am able to attend as a guest of a member of the group?? - and I do know someone that would invite me!
That'd be me, you are cordially invited on any and all BFTP organised rides as my guest. Course once we've altered the reg papers it wont be an issue.
Will looks like Flash is post 1990 now - picked up the cbr on Saturday morning. It sounds sweet and man its got some guts. Watch out the Hawkes bay. Seems so long since we saw him and Rachel - need to meet up again with all you guys again - Taumarunui and the Napier trips seem just like what the group is - a blast from the past you might call it!!
