A day where cafe racers, classics, bobbers come together and ride in a distinguished manner spreading merriment along the way.

    Mission
To bring classic and cafe racers bike owners together around the world for a dapper of a ride.

    Description
The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride is an event for Cafe Racer, Bobber, Flat Tracker, Retro, Classic, Quirky Motorcycles and their owners. It is a worldwide event taking place on the same day in each respective time zone. It is a day where no matter what your work/social/life status may be everyone is equally distinguished. It therefore means we approve the right to wear monocles, attach brief cases to your bike, side saddle your bike as your chauffeur steers for you, wear a bow tie, shave your beard into a moustache, attach a cup holder for your high tea, use your satellite phone to call in your private chopper and above most ride your bike with one escort on the handle bars & one sitting on your lap.

The link that brings the world together on this day are these two/three words 'Distinguished' & 'Caferacers'.

To take part you need to be in the correct attire. Be as creative as you want or as bland as you want. The most important thing is to make yourself laugh, make others laugh and you have a blast along the way.

here a look at one from Singapore

Do we need to wait until then? If we all front up to Voltie's place in 3 piece suits for tea, sausage rolls and ginger crunch, we could then wobble off down to Max's for liquorice tea before heading down Queen St. to dazzle and impress the tourists. Good day out eh what?

As a kid, I was intrigued by the term "ladies bring a plate". Couldn't figure out why some organisations always ran short of plates . . . . took a while to realise that it was just a euphemism for"bring food" . . . .

lol, it's good to hear it's not just the immigrants from other languages background that have that prob... a friend of mine when first encontered that saying when invited to someone's party literaly went to Brisoes and bought a complete dinner set of plates, thinking "what poor people, when they have to ask guests to bring a plate to a party at their home..."
