Tommy and Gerry went on the hunt for gravel around North Auckland. all Jaffa adventures must have Coffee...some French pastries are nice too. Your never out of cell coverage or far from a Pub
The Riverhead looks a bit more up market since I was last there. I guess with Kim moving into the area you have to get your act together in case of a surprise visit.
cool pics volty, the gravel is rewarding, i used to know a lot of gravel out west/nor west but guessing a lot of it may have changed and sealed in the last twenty years. another great loop was warkworth to leigh, then up pakiri and points further north...long since sealed im guessing?
When I came back to Auckland in '96, I went looking for my old gravel roads, and most of them were gone, and keep getting gobbled up. As Jafa's sell off their '60's weatherboard homes for 7 figures, they move out for a more rustic lifestyle....and want all their roads sealed, the cows to wear nappies, and ultrafast broadband.
Sounds reasonable :-)
