October still seems a fair way off...

October 2009 particularly so.

GC 09 Seems a long way off yes but it already has entries - I dont put them up early for fun it is because I start getting requests . Some people are able to plan way ahead
especially those coming i from overseas.
the SCRR 09 has 20 riders already entered and there are at least 6 coming from USA so would make it normally 25 % full - but as it is the 10th GC we are allowing for an extras.
I have ordered all the hardware for all runs right thru to GC 09
Designing the badges for 10 days 10000ks as well - there have been a few enquiries for that as well.

Have got my leave for the Southern X so the entry will be coming your way soon - probably after the GC. 19 days to go...

Hi all, those who have entered the 09 Grand Challenge will be recieving their starter info. We are well into the 2nd group and I have open Group 3 for a group of riders who want to go together.

The Southern Cross Road Rally is over half full with a few groups coming in it will fill quickly. I dont want to leave any regulars out so am urging people to get in now if they are coming.

Just a general question about the 10K in 10days. Will the daily routes be promulgated prior to the event, or will part of the challenge be to route plan each night?

.....or will you be sort of nice and set routes that don't really need much in the way of navigation?

.....or will you stay true to form, ....a total bastard ....and include all manner of goat tracks?

What I have been reading on some of the Rusty Nuts trip reports, its "all manner of goat tracks" if your lucky

HI Guys the 10000 10 day super tour there will be a general route given tocover each island as you arrive. A always you will have check in points so will not be able to do extra miles to credit the next day. I would think there will be a "bastard bit here and there - why break the habit of a life time

The SCRR is getting to near the shut down point so if you are not in then do so soon

Im still in for both the GC09 and 10000 km...might need a gel seat on the duc butt to ease the numbum
