Well it was going to be a simple get her back to original, I'm finding it hard to keep with my intentions (use as a quick lil scoot to ge to work and back, but has turned into a project for same purpose but I'll be cruising in style lol)
    .

All I can think of is how I can I make the right looking clubman bars, how I'm going to customise rearsets to work with this bike, how I'm going to design the expansion chamber, how will I make the cafe seat, what upgraded front end can i stick on, how can i customise the sidestand to be less obvious and what colours will I use. the list goes on sadly I can't do anything the normal way so this project was born.

It may take awhile but many skills will be learnt and I can't wait lol.

ok the bike a 1978 suzuki Gt50b two stroker 5 speed clutched bike of fury. motor will be taken apart by me and a mechanic mate to make sure everythings good and repalce old seals. up the compression slightly when i work out how much squish the thing has and how much i should take off the head.

I want to fabricate as much stuff on the bike as possible. (conquiztador do you know of any good metal shops with an array of diff size tubing and sheet/plate metal?)

Progress will be depending on how much money i have to buy anything new for it. and how motivated I am at the time to bear the weather and work in my leanto

getting tank painted by mate its porsche red, question for the colour friendly people, what goes nice with red as I am going to paint frame and neumorous parts as I can't chrome/powdercoat cheaply lol.

Taken apart the speedo and rev counter, cleaned them up as bloody ants decided to turn them into their house grrrrrrrrrrrr.......

taken some parts off and preping for a coat of paint.

    cleaned up all the lights.

thats all so far but I'll keep updated and post afew pics now and again to show how the project is going.

Spyke, there is a few in Onekawa Industrial area. Last frame I built I was still living in Auckland. I have sort of come across the ones in Onekawa when I have needed some steel. But no idea what names and where. And somehow I have never managed to find the same ones again. Do what I did, cruize up and down the streets there and you find them.

    Good Luck!

Well took the motor apart yesterday, Things I found out piston had a cold seize, crank bearings pretty rusty, a spring attached to the gear lever shaft is stuffed and that was the reason why it wouldn't change right, the rev counter plastic gear in the motor has blown apart.

the gearbox gears are in good condition.

We are going to price up everything and go from there.
