    Welcome to the BFTP group

Some of you who have joined this group were not previously members on Kiwi Biker and may find the size and complexity of the main site a bit daunting. There is a lot of good info available on the main forum pages that takes a bit of digging to find. We have popped a few recommended reading links directly below to make it a little easier to find some of the good stuff.

Please note: The content of the links are for guidance only, they are not BFTP rules... as we don't have any

Our regular thread in the main forum which you may like to keep track of.

Since starting this Social Group we have gone form an original 1 st week membership tally of 14 odd to over thirty.
I'm afraid I don't know everyone who has joined us here but I'd like to say , "Welcome guys and girls" This little band of riders and their Old, Old Machines has been active for over 12 months now we've usually managed to get riders for every one of our scheduled rides. With one or two exceptionally serious weather bombs putting even the hardiest of us off on just a very few occassions.
We've enjoyed some great rides on some brilliant roads and usually our leader and founder, psy-guy has always had a little something different to see or do.
I'm looking forward to the summer months but while the winters here I'm riding as often as I can "weather be damned" is usually my motto but there are others amongst this hardy bunch who have joined me on some very rough and blustery escapades too.
So in closing, once again welcome. If I haven't added you to my friends then please feel free to send me a friends invite and if you are not receviing the group emails, again please let me know and I'll find out why not.
I'm new to this site making etc so it could take a day or two, but I'll get it to work.
Thanks for signing up and hangin in there.

Madness can sometimes creep up with the onset of age! Couldn't make today's run although weather looks great, so I'm sure it's a goody. I've only got the VF, although in the past year and a bit(since I bought my first bike!) I've manage to own an R65, XV750, XJ600, before the VF came along. That black paint job looks Ok in the photo but aint flash close up! If I had the $$ I'd get it painted in the factory silver/red or silver/blue. Ahhh yes, if only I had the cash!!

Yee ha! We have another Honda. swbarnett and his CBX 550F have made it aboard.

Thanks for the BFTP link. I've been following the public thread for a while and have been thinking of joining up (which I've now done). Couldn't have made the ride today due to other committments but 30th August is looking good at this stage (depends on work). My wife may even tag along. I hope you guys don't mind the odd gate crasher on something a bit newer ('98 600 Hornet).
Newer bikes and riders are welcome to attend our rides when accompanied by a member or friend
