first had to buy an old pre 82 550 bike....chose a Yamaha xj550.....found this on a farm in the naki.....other then the pipes......doesn't look like it has ever been apart or had stuff done to it...............................

I like the colour scheme, the blue stripes date it exactly to when it was born. And looks RD/RG-ish The 'muffler' combined with the word 'naki' all makes sense now. : : :
DAMN!!!!!!.....my sony memory stick with all the motor removal photos has an error...i will need to take it somewhere to retrieve the photos or i will never know how to put it all back together!!! Dodgviti. the motor is completely stripped down, paint removed,gaskets gone, surfaces cleaned...im not doing any more with the bike/frame until the motor is done...just in case
