I decided that today would be a good day to spend some time in the garden, (my bike being unregistered and all..) so headed off down to the supermarket to buy some buget priced supplies and plants.
Now, there was a lovely young lady clearing out seedlings from one of the stands..she cheerfullly said to me, "I'm only throwing those out, so help yourself!" To be fair, some of them did look as though they would need lots of TLC, but most of them were okay, so, as I love to get a bargain, I sorted through them.
Got lettuces (fancy ones), pansies, daisies, lobelia, sweet william and some other unidentified stuff (the labels were removed)...and it has all been planted now!
    And the best part...FREE!!!

Well, my bundles of free seedlings are looking a treat!
Lots of them are already flowering, and the vege plants are doing well.

I got a punnet of leeks for my birthday - I planted 22,which is one row,and it didn't make a dent in the punnet. My daughter has now planted some, but there must be a hundred of the damn things.I'm going to have to plant a lot more potatoes than I anticipated....
