Me, a mighty Spurs yiddo, man and boy. Not doing too bad so far, would be nice to kick seven bells out of the gooners at some point.

    Anyone else?

    Mate... Your dreaming.
  3. Fatt Max
Yeah I Know mate. Watched the highlights of the Arsenal game at the weekend, must admit they do look good this season. Nice to see an Englishman finally get on the pitch and score, well done Master Woolcott. Do you think he will make the squad for the World Cup though?

There is a certain swagger about them at the mo, but has I have seen season after season they seem to forget they are on a football pitch sometimes...

Would like to see the boy play at the world cup but I don't know if he will be selected... He's gonna have to get a lot more game time IMO.

I hate to say it but you guy's ain't doing to bad either. I think it's turning out to be a good season..
  5. Fatt Max
Agree that this season is shapingup well. I like the look of Man City to be honest.

Spurs are doing OK but the squad is a tad light, a few injuries in our defence and midfield and we are in the crap.

Chelsea are wobbly at the mo, I reckon they could drop away if the prima donnas that play for them get to girle about not winning all the time.

The gooners are looking good, certainly banging in a few goals....arrrgghhh.

...and Man U can...well...just fuck off I suppose.....

Do you ever go and watch Auckland City play in the NZFC? I'm keen if you ever fancy a meet at a game to shout at a few blokes kicking a bag of air about

Yeah OK. Couldn't let you two be alone for too long.
Leeds United here. Been a supporter since they lost the FA Cup final to Sunderland in the early 70s. Just felt sorry for them back then I guess. Still been a pretty good team to follow since then although the last few seasons have been a bid sad. Still ... things seems to be on the improve now. Don't get to see any coverage of them on TV now but I'm always keen to get on line on a Sunday morning to check out the latest result.

    Hi Oakie,

Yes, LUFC, great club with a great tradition. I have fond memories of Elland Road on a wet and windy Saturday afternoon, arriving at the ground at noon after a three hour train ride up from London, drinking all the way

Then, the police escort to the ground, a few of us managed to break away and find a nice pub close by, the Three Bells if I remember rightly....cant be sure....

Anyways, into the ground where we used to get beaten by a single goal most of the time, had some fun with the locals in the pub afterwards before running to catch the last London train home.

Leeds deserve to be back in the Premier league purley because of their great tradition, I mean, teams like Hull, Wigan and Bolton can fuck right off out of it....they also had Billy Bremner....and he was a hard bastard at best of times.

Welcome Oakie, more power to your elbow my man

Thank you sir. I started to mention Billy Bremner in my original post but then thought it wasn't the time. All I was going to say was that in my playing days when I had the choice I would play in his number 4 shirt. Didn't make me play any better but it felt cool.

Would be keen to go watch a game, just looked at their website to find the fixtures.. It's a tad out of date.
  10. Fatt Max
Yeah I know but the NZFC website will eventually have them.

Hey Oakie, you keen to get along to a game mate?

Oops, just seen you are in CHCH so why would you want to watch Auckland City....????
  11. Oakie
    Oakie
That's alright. I don't even watch any Christchurch football. I'm a pretty casual 'TVcentric' fan really. I consider getting back into coaching from time to time but that only lasts until the first wet Saturday when I drive past the local park and see the poor coaches standing bedraggled on the sideline.

Well, back to the Premier League at the weeked. We have Portsmouth away, always a good weekend down by the seaside that one. Nice pubs full of bored sailors WAGS who thought nothing of 'entertaining' a few London lads down for the laaager and a bit of slapper 'n' tickle.

Usually spent the early hours of Sunday morning being chased by said sailors after being caught doing the bad thing with their missus....well, leave 'em alone and they'l go looking.

The games were mostly crap though, I mean, it's by the coast in fucking England, what do you expect...

Born and bred Red here, Manchester United through and through.

Not a "OMG I Luv Ronaldo!1!11!!!" United supporter though, mind. I've been a fan since I was a wee lad... back in the days when Eric Cantona first signed for the club.

My Dad is a Scot and grew up in Glasgow, hence the reason we are all football fans in the family.

Good to meet some other KB'ers who share an interest in the Beautiful Game.

    Chur!

    Nice one DL,

Must admit, not a huge fan of Man U (affectionatley known as 'The Scum') but they are playing some great football.

I remember going up to Old Trafford years ago and seeing Cantona play, he had such presence on the pitch, a fucking HUGE guy but boy could he move.

Sir Alex has worked wonders there over the years, bringing great players like Giggs, Scholes, the Neville brothers etc all through the youth team. He fucking nicked Beckham off Spurs youth but that's life.

Still reckon Man U wont take it this year, I have my eyes on Man City this season, lets see how it goes eh...

Good to see you in the group DL
