so, i drained the battery in my car for the second time by listening to radio while working in the garage. had to start my car this morning by jumping it with the bike battery

i need a small radio that i can keep in the garage that noone would think of stealing (as i have no garage door) so i'm looking for something people are thinking of throwing away as noone would ever want to buy it anyway (even on trademe, ha ha).

cracked housing, only one speaker, no antenna, paint or oil stained... all good.

if you want another piece of junk in return (i dunno, some people like to collect things...) i can offer a prehistoric computer monitor

North Shore is having an inorganic collection right now. My lounge suite, and half my furniture came from the North Shore street front clearance sales, and not the fancy parts of the shore either, Glenfield maaan!

croc will have one, he might throw in an exhaust and tank too, I heard he also has a lounge suite, better take the blue truck for that mission and don't forget to ask him for some gas money, you are doing him a favour after all. It's a long steep driveway to cart all that lot up onto the road and he's not getting any younger.

Fuck You Dodgy. I haven't owned a standalone radio for at least 15 years. Now just use the PC (Radio, stereo,TV, DVD) and mobile phone. Hell! my mobile phone has a radio, a radio transmitter, mp3 stereo, camera, bluetooth, organiser, calculator, GPS, video camera, email, interwobble and can even be used to open beer bottles.

Psy, Your phone has a poked battery. Why don't you get a free upgrade when you sign up for a 24 or 36 month call plan.

    Here ya go Psy

Cheaper than a trip to Hamilton and it'll even wake you in time to get there

Some have programmable voices that can be set to sing tailor made wake up signals like.... "Wake up you lazy bastard or you will miss the ride"
    or
"Croc is a saint, croc is a saint, Squawk, croc is a saint"

Yeah! but can yours be programmed to say "croc is a saint" and wake him up at a respectable time of the morning... like, before 8:00 am?

damn, croc, you've sucessfully taken this thread off topic and now everyone goes on about alarm clocks . i dont need NO ALARM CLOCKS, i dont intend sleeping in my garage (or do i??) .
i'm after a simple small OLD radio to use in my garage while wrenching, a radio that no one would think of stealing (as i have no garage door) .
