found a new site for FJ gofast bits http://www.debben.co.uk/acatalog/FJ1200.html
Hey guys anyone know where I can get parts locally for the FJ
what are ya lookin for bro.. i have a few spare bits layin around
The most Km's I'/ve got out of a tank is 285 km's. The fuel reserve switch is not actually a switch to a fuel tap, it just has a sensor that cuts out two plugs to make you aware it is fuel low. Trust the fuel light more. Constant ON means about 60 km's left in the tank.
Fj Rider, your the man, that things been pissing me off for ages LOL Has anyone got any strong feelings on what size sprocket and chain to use....I want fuel economy over top end speed....running 38 rear I think, not sure of front, love to hear what is the best....also what chain your using Cheers
Due to rear wheel hub, only a sprocket with ONE tooth less will fit on the wheel. As I understand... front sprocket cover limits ANY up-size there too. With one tooth less on the rear cog, I'm travelling at 110 km's/ hr at 4000 RPM exactly. The average fuel consumption I'm getting is 14 km's/ per litre. Best is 18. Fuel economy was not on the designers mind. Judicious use of the throttle helps...economy is/can be, in your right hand... or not.
Hey Hoodz, there's breakers in AK that advertises on Tardme with FJ bits. I know they've dismantled one of the same model as mine at least. Look them Up 'GPWreckers' in tardme.
Thanks Grey wolf will do Cheers
just added an FJ section on my blog with a few tips and tricks learned over the last 8 years with the Fat Jelly
