I think it may be covered down below - But anyway - whats the best way to redo your decals on a fairing and side covers. Would a signwriter like speedy signs do it or maybe should I speak to the bike shops or even a panel beater. I don't really want to try and purchase from overseas and put on myself as there looks like some prep work maybe needed and I dont want to make it worse!!
http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/gr...scussionid=699 There is a bit of discussion on the subject in this thread. But I would recommend vinyl cutting if you can provide the sign writer with an accurate pattern. Get them to put them on and don't accept it unless they get it exactly how you want.
i think if you have a good example on one side of the bike that makes it easier for signwriters to copy it for the other side. i had to go with a complete set of new decals from a bike specialised graphics shop (overseas) because what i have on at the moment is not original and is in a poor condition. bike painting specialists like... uhm, forgot the name, lol... in ackl anyway... said they could do graphics to my design or do it in paint (masking, etc). you can try contact "alive" on the site here, he's had it done by the above company for his xj and they did an outsdanding job matching the fairing to the rest of the bike that was ok.

Yeah I read all this and tried the overseas websites but I didnt find much. In fact one didnt even have Honda listed as a bike type??? (no smart arse comments please). I suppose what I am really after is somewhere I can take the bike to and say "do it" and then pick it up afterwards. Will a signwriter be able to do this. If so can anyone recommend one???

aha! i remembered it... Reflections Motorcycle Refinishers http://www.reflectionsmc.co.nz/
Thanks, looks good - just the sort of thing I was after cheers
lol, dodgyiti, you fancy going back to kindie??? or is that the artist in you coming out??
Sorry Murray, Reflections are great, throughly recomended. Long time in business doing it well. I should do a crayon graphic onto the matt black on the BMW eh? Or chalk would work, do a new one every time the old one washes off.
could be your first
and the graphics would be non-toxic!
Hopefully the beer would be too.
Theres beer???? ! I'm inn.
I am not giving into peer pressure and doing a custom crayon job over the matt black, although it is a good starting point for a Rossi inspired day/night... That would be funny though, at a BFTP pit stop.. "Come on guys, can't hang around in this sun, me custom paintjob's melting" And there is no, I repeat no beer Black Jack maybe.. it goes with the teritory
