I was quite suprised you had not looked at the points and timing Voli.
There are still some improvements available for her.

    1, New points and condenser
2, Set timing and check all the way to full advance
3, Set the dwell and timing median between the two cylinders
4, Modern Made in China 5 ohm coils
5, Fit pedal set for hill climbing
6, Wearing riding gear that dosent puff out to Michelin proportions at 100km/h
7, Leaving the panniers at home.
8, Fitting some tyres that are not from a deleated stock line from 5-6 years ago.
9, Duck down at high speeds, or at least when approaching the speed limit.
    Chortle....Rollie Free on the Vincent...with slippers...obviously a " Antiques Roadshow" fan.
I checked the points and condenser about a year ago, y know with the ciggy paper test....
VW 6 volts coils are the coil of preference...Bosch.....China parts....on a Beemer..........maybe its having a bad reaction to NGK japper plugs
I may look like a cross between Michilin man and Mr Stay Puffed....but warm and dry. The suspenders add to the whole package...

My /5 started life as a toaster but a /7 tank improved the looks. The bike was in a shunt which damaged the toaster tank before I got it and the seller apologised! I was delighted. It may pay to keep the toaster tanks away from the racing.

Hi Unna, good to see you pop up in Toaster land.
I am slowly building up a Toaster 900 classic racer/track day bike.....but I get sidetracked.( don't tell dodgie.....he'll tease me).
Come out on a run with the /5 , they more than than hold their own.
